We are seeking to hire a Finance and Operations Assistant to help us with our everyday accounting procedures & to assist with the implementation of new systems & processes.

 

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to further their accounting experience. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be involved in keeping the day-to-day accounting for the company up to date, in addition to assisting with key projects & supporting the operational aspect of the business.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Posting bank transactions and bank reconciliations
  • Processing purchase invoices & preparing payment runs
  • Processing sales invoices & credit control
  • Preparing VAT reports
  • Weekly & ad-hoc reporting
  • Profit & loss and variance analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with monthly board pack
  • Assist with the year-end audit
  • Database management
  • Assist with warehouse and order processing
  • Inventory management
  • Stock reconciliations
  • Liaise with key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience using SAGE 50 essential
  • Educated to degree preferred
  • Studying towards or completed studies in CIMA or AAT
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting environment
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Possess a natural flare for problem solving 
  • Attention to detail and highly organised
  • Highly self-motivated and a team player
