We are seeking to hire a Finance and Operations Assistant to help us with our everyday accounting procedures & to assist with the implementation of new systems & processes.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to further their accounting experience. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be involved in keeping the day-to-day accounting for the company up to date, in addition to assisting with key projects & supporting the operational aspect of the business.
Responsibilities
- Posting bank transactions and bank reconciliations
- Processing purchase invoices & preparing payment runs
- Processing sales invoices & credit control
- Preparing VAT reports
- Weekly & ad-hoc reporting
- Profit & loss and variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with monthly board pack
- Assist with the year-end audit
- Database management
- Assist with warehouse and order processing
- Inventory management
- Stock reconciliations
- Liaise with key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience using SAGE 50 essential
- Educated to degree preferred
- Studying towards or completed studies in CIMA or AAT
- 1+ years of experience in accounting environment
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Strong analytical skills
- Possess a natural flare for problem solving
- Attention to detail and highly organised
- Highly self-motivated and a team player
